Zeurniet is a family concern that has been going for almost 100 years!
Long ago, the company switched from growing vegetables to cultivating flowers.
Then 50 years ago the nursery switched to pot plants.
Since 1985 the nursery has been called Kwekerij Zeurniet. It was actually a joke which led to the name.
Many Scheffers ran a nursery and lived nearby, so goods were often delivered to the wrong address.
One supplier said once, “Give your nursery another name so the deliveries can be brought to the right
place and there will be no more incorrectly delivered packages.” The new name became Kwekerij Zeurniet.
The new generation of Scheffers is already working in the nursery.
Father Jos Scheffers takes care of lovely products and a good service together with his sons Stef and Tom.
From 1 January 2016 the fifth generation of Scheffers officially entered the company: son Stef was taken on, and Zeurniet became a commercial partnership.
This happened precisely at the moment 30 years ago when father Jos started working there.
Zeurniet, a nursery without fuss but with lovely plants and flowers of high quality and long life.
